Aanonimy is a social application that allows people to post and to send end-to-end encrypted messages, including under a pseudonym. These are our standards on child safety. They apply to everyone who uses Aanonimy, everywhere it is available, and they apply to anonymous and pseudonymous activity in exactly the same way as to anything else.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is prohibited on Aanonimy. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and any content or conduct that sexualises, exploits, endangers or solicits a minor. There is no exception to this rule.
This prohibition covers everything on the service: posts, comments, replies, profile information, usernames and private messages (which are end-to-end encrypted, so we act on the account rather than on message content). Using a pseudonym does not place anything outside these standards.
You must be at least 16 years old to hold an Aanonimy account. This is checked when an account is created, from the date of birth you provide, and it is enforced on our servers as well as in the app.
When we obtain actual knowledge of child sexual abuse material or of conduct that sexualises or exploits a minor, we:
Preservation is deliberate and it is built into how removal works: removing content does not delete the record of it, and that record is kept even if the account it belonged to is later deleted.
You can report content from inside the app when signed in: tap the three-dot menu on a post, or press and hold a comment or reply, and choose Report (it is not offered on your own content), then pick the reason that best describes what you have seen.
You do not need to be the person affected to make a report, and the person you report is not told who reported them.
If it concerns a child, you can also write to us directly at info@aanonimy.com — and you should do that if you do not have an account, or if you would rather reach us outside the app. Reports about child safety are treated as urgent.
